Asian Fruit Salad

1 Bartlett pear cubed

1 Golden Delicious apple cubed

1 cup blackberries

Handful of dried Bing cherries

Lemon glaze

Juice of 1 lemon

3 Tbsp honey

Dash black pepper

Dash Chinese Five Spice

Balsamic Vinegar glaze

3 Tbsp of good quality balsamic vinegar

3 Tbsp honey

Dash black pepper

Dash Chinese Five Spice

Place fruit in a bowl or martini glass and set aside. In another small bowl add the lemon juice, or Balsamic Vinegar, honey, pepper and Chinese Five Spice and whisk together. Pour glaze over fruit and serve. This recipe yields about 4-5 servings.

*Tip: Pears break down easily in acid, so if you are going to have left overs, I would suggest you store the fruit separate from the glaze. Just add the glaze when you are ready to serve the salad.

*Trick: To turn this Asian fruit salad into an exotic parfait, add some Greek yogurt and granola or any nut of your choice.
