1 cup Vanilla flavored almond milk (you can use regular milk too, just add sugar or honey to sweeten)
¼ tsp. Vanilla extract
Sprinkling of Chinese Five Spice
Pinch Sea Salt
This recipe yields 1 serving
Heat milk in a sauce pan over a low to medium flame. Once milk is hot, turn off flame. Add cocoa powder, vanilla extract, Chinese Five Spice, Sea Salt, sugar if desired, and whisk until everything is completely dissolved. Pour into a mug and enjoy!
Tip #1: Turn this into a dessert drink by topping with marshmallows for a traditional hot cocoa, or try adding fresh mint, crunchy toffee crumbles and whipped cream. Yum!
Tip #2: For adult fun, add some spirits like Kahlua, Peppermint Schnapps, dark Rum, Brandy, or coffee flavored Curacao. Drink responsibly 😉
