1 can Albacore Tuna packed in water
1 Tbsp. red onion chopped
1 Tbsp. green bell pepper chopped
1 tsp. capers chopped
1/2 tsp. fresh dill chopped
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. whole grain mustard
1 Tbsp. Light mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. wasabi paste (optional)
1 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. celery seed (optional)
This recipe yields about 3-4 servings
Open can of tuna and drain off liquid. Place in bowl and break up the tuna chunks. Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl and combine until everything is thoroughly mixed. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Tip: place your tuna salad in the fridge for about a half hour before serving. It helps the flavors marry.
Tip: This salad can be enjoyed on a lettuce leaf, as a topping for vegetable salads, as a sandwich, with crackers or by itself.
